IT&E Lifeline

IT&E offers mobile phone service to income eligible residents as part of the government funded Lifeline Assistance program. Lifeline is intended to help individuals experiencing financial hardship to stay connected to family members, schools and child care providers.

What is Lifeline

Lifeline is a federal program that lowers the monthly cost of wireless phone or home phone for qualifying customers. Eligible customers will get at least a $5.25 discount on their bill. 

Do I qualify?

You may qualify for a Lifeline benefit based on:

  1. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as Food Stamps
  2. Medicaid
  3. Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  4. Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
  5. Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit
  6. Tribal Programs (and live on federally-recognized Tribal lands)

How to get Lifeline Benefit with IT&E?

  1. Sign up at GetInternet.Gov
  2. Upload required documents such as proof of identity and address.
  3. Wait for Lifeline benefit approval from USAC via email or mail.
  4. Once approved, submit consent to IT&E online or visit a physical store for assistance.
  5. To receive the benefit, customers must have an active postpaid mobile, home landline and/or internet, broadband or BEAM service. Prepaid services are not eligible.
  6. Once your information is validated by IT&E, you'll start receiving the Lifeline Benefit.
